NY case dismissed due to lack of jurisdiction

Your mom moved you out of the state for more than 6 months. That meant, I had to have the custody order transferred to FL. That state had to recognize and enforce it. This led to years of red tape and unexpected delays. The transfer, legally called “Petition to Domesticate Foreign Order” is STILL pending. (October 2023)
