She refused to honor my court ordered time with you for Thanksgiving weekend. I was supposed to have time with you from that Wednesday, November 25 – Sunday the 29th. My initial plan was for us to go visit family in either California or Atlanta. After I told your mom about that, she tried to use a small typo/clerical error in the court order as an excuse to not let me pick you up. I quickly debunked her theory but she insisted you’d be with her and there was “no debate.”

Then, she tried to justify it by saying she spoke with the deputy clerk’s office and ‘cleared it up’ with her and the judge. I know this is s lie because the clerk wouldn’t legally be able to clarify anything here. Court’s are not allowed to accept what’s called “ex parte” communications. Meaning, both sides would have to be aware of the communication and only a judge’s ruling is considered legally binding.

When I realized she was going to interfere with our time, I told my family we weren’t coming anymore and hoped she would let us have at least a few hours together in Florida. That didn’t happen. Apparently, she used that time to be with her family and possibly her engagement dinner that weekend. After all that back and forth, being ignored for days/denied court ordered daily contact with you, … I got to chat with you for about 5 mins that evening.
